Principles to be followed for writing your article
Accepted word processor file formats for manuscripts in Science
Frontier journals include Microsoft Word (DOC, DOCX).
Articles should be structured in the following sequence: title,
list of authors, authors' affiliations, author order,
corresponding author information, abstract, keywords,
abbreviations, main text, methods, references, supplementary
information (if applicable), acknowledgments, author
contributions, author information (including data deposition
statement, declaration of competing interests, and corresponding
author details), tables, and figure legends.
Author Affiliation
Authors should provide their affiliations, including name,
affiliation, institution, university, city, state, and country.
Corresponding Author
Details for the corresponding author should include their name,
affiliation, institution, university, city, state, country,
telephone, fax, and email. The editorial office will communicate
directly with the corresponding author, and any disputes among
authors will be handled by them. Equal contributions and equal
correspondence must be clearly stated in the article.
Abstract
The abstract should be informative and concise, highlighting the
study's significance, key information, and major findings and
conclusions. Authors must ensure the abstract accurately
reflects the content of the article. Abstracts typically range
from 100 to 150 words and should not include references or
citations. The abstract should provide context, objectives,
methods, results, and conclusions of the study.
Keywords
Authors should provide 4-8 keywords that are representative of
the content of the article. Research articles, reviews, and case
studies should include a list of keywords separated by
semicolons.
Abbreviations
The use of standard abbreviations in scientific articles is
encouraged. Each abbreviation should be defined upon first use.
Titles should not contain abbreviations unless they are
expanded.
Nomenclature And Measurements
Authors are encouraged to use the International System of Units
(SI) for presenting units. Binomial nomenclature is recommended
for microorganisms, plants, and animals. DDBJ/Genebank accession
numbers should be used for gene sequences and amino acid
sequences.
Manuscript Title
The title should succinctly capture the essence of the article's
content. Titles should avoid abbreviations unless expanded upon
elsewhere in the manuscript.
Introduction
The introduction should provide a comprehensive overview of the
study, including relevant literature, methodology, and
anticipated results. It should engage readers across various
scientific disciplines.
Materials And Methods
This section should provide a detailed description of the study's
methodology, including materials, participants, procedures, and
statistical analyses. Authors should cite relevant literature
for any modified techniques.
Units
Units should adhere to SI nomenclature or terminology specific to
the field. There should be a single space between the number and
the unit.
Results And Discussion
This section should present the experimental results and their
implications. Authors may choose to combine or separate results
and discussions. Data interpretation and analysis should be
presented in the discussion, not the results.
Acknowledgment
Acknowledgments should recognize individuals, funding sources,
and conflicts of interest. Authors should specify each author's
contributions to the study. Financial support from institutions
should be disclosed, including grant details.
Appendix
Supplementary data should be submitted as a separate file and
cited within the article. This may include figures, tables, and
additional text supporting the study.
Figures And Tables
Figures and tables should be submitted as separate files with
legends and cited in consecutive order within the text. Figures
should be in high-resolution JPEG or TIFF format, and tables
should not be submitted as images. Authors must obtain copyright
permission for any reused figures or tables.
References
References should be cited accurately and in consecutive order
within the text. Authors are required to follow the prescribed
format for references.
Copyrights
Upon acceptance for publication, authors transfer copyrights to
the publisher under relevant licenses, permitting distribution,
reprocessing, and reprinting of the published work. Authors
retain rights to patents, trademarks, and intellectual property
associated with their work.
Retraction
Science Frontier journals follow an internationally accepted
retraction policy to uphold publication integrity. Articles
found to contain scientific misconduct or plagiarism will be
retracted, with notifications published on the website.
Erratum
Corrections to published articles, including writing errors and
editing mistakes, will be published in the succeeding issue
under the Erratum section.
Corrigendum
Corrections submitted by authors for published articles will be
reviewed and published in the Corrigendum section, ensuring the
accuracy of the published work. Any changes must not alter the
article's results or conclusions without appropriate author
approval.
